spamfighter_webFinally, a free Antispam program that actually works. Spamfighter works well with Outlook Express and helps to automatically seperate the Spam from the message you wish to keep.
winzip100Winzip is a try before you buy program for handling Archived files like those that end in .zip. While Windows XP has a built in function, Winzip runs circles around XP. The cost is only $30.00 and well worth the investment.
WSFTP_HomeWSFTP_Home is a FTP Client that runs great on Windows XP. Although XP can do FTP as well, WSFTP_Home runs circles around XP. This is a good investment for those that wish to use FTP on XP. The cost is a modest $30.00.
AVG FreeInstead of paying big bucks to the commercial AntiVirus makers, this one is free and works well with all Windows. It's especially well suited for Windows XP Home since it has no firewall to get confused like Norton or McCaffee does. Afterall, Windows XP already have a firewall. And the price is right, it's free. Just make sure you download this and then uninstall all of your commercial Antivirus Program before you install this. Even the updates are free. Update of AVG 7.1 to 7.5

  1. Run the AVG Free Edition 7.5 Setup program
  2. Click "Next >" on the AVG "Welcome!" screen
  3. Click "Accept" on the "License Agreement on Use of an AVG Free Edition" screen
  4. Select "Repair installation" on the "Select Setup Type" screen and click "Next >"
  5. Select "Restart the computer now" (pre-selected by the program automatically) and click "OK" on the "Installation Complete!" screen to restart your computer and complete the installation
